Instead of reviewing or analyzing art, each issue groups artists around a theme such as memory or intention. ArtWrite is never critical and aims to make art writing accessible and entertaining.

Maggie is a teacher and writer who has always worked at the intersection of writing, art, and the creative process. She studied English and art history at Barnard and received her MFA in Fiction from the University of Arizona.
